Hi guys I just noticed this new calculator on Gedmatch. Davidski has this model to approximate Geno 2.0 analysis. Wondering how it stacks up with you guys who did the Geno 2.0. I did not take the Geno 2.0 but here are my results. I found them to be interesting.

My Geno 2.0 results were 40% Northern European, 40% Mediterranean, 20% Southwest Asian. So quite a bit different. I'm assuming everything under 1% is noise. The 2% Native American should not be there at all.

Where did you see that this new calculator is supposed to approximate Geno 2.0's admixture analysis? It didn't do that for me.

As you can see, Eurogenes K9b overestimates my North_European and underestimates my Mediterranean. Knowing my ancestry is 100% Sicilian/southern Italian, the Geno 2.0 analysis is clearly more accurate. From what's been posted in this thread so far, it looks like it's finding Native_American that's not there. Maybe that some sort of distant Siberian or Central Asian that's being mistaken for Native_American.

Once again, another in accurate calculator. I think people should just leave it to scientists or people who really know what they are doing.

Log into your Gedmatch account and go to http://ww2.gedmatch.com:8006/autosomal/ap_mix1_gen.php Choose Eurogenes from the pulldown menu and click on the circle for "Admixture Proportions (with link to Oracle)." On the page you're sent to, the default calculator will be Eurogenes K9b. Just put in your Gedmatch kit number and click on the "Continue" button.

I just sent him an e-mail with a link to this thread. I've asked him to look into these two problems and see if he can come up with an answer for them.

This calculator does not seem to be accurate at all. It makes me 51.61% Northern European! According to Geno 2, my main component is Mediterranean. If K9b is based on Geno 2, that explains the differences, since my raw data is from 23andMe. Also, Geno's SW Asian peaks in India, more so in southern India, and seems to be a mix of South Asian and West Asian. Very different from the SWA we are used to. Finally, this K9b is quite different from K9.
