  • 34 out of 37 markers Y DNA?

My relative named Gardner took the Y DNA test and matched with three men with his surname. They are all distant cousins, anywhere from 6th to 10th Cousins. They go back to the same common ancestor named Gardner from the 18th Century.

They matched 12 out of 12 on the 12 marker test exactly.

He took the 37 marker test, and while matching with them, he also matched 34 out of 37 times with the Comer family. It was 11 out of 12 on the first test, and then 34 out of 37 on the 37 marker test. According to Family Tree DNA that is a 95 percent change for 35/37 to be descended going back 14 generations which would be the 16th Century.

Morley matched with us 25 out of 37 times (goes back to William de Morley, a Baron in England of Norman descent)
Bergander matched with us 29 out of 37 times
Mitchell matched with us 31 out of 37 times

Does anyone know how far back these mutations go?

    Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Comer lineage is:
    13 25 14 11 11-16 12 12 14 13 13 29 17 9-9 11 11 25 15 19 29 14-15-16-18 11 12 19-23 16 14 18 19 36-38 12 12

    Gardner lineage is:
    13 25 14 11 11-16 12 12 13 13 13 29 17 9-9 11 11 25 15 19 30 14-15-16-18 11 11 19-23 16 14 18 19 36-38 12 12

    Any help appreciated.
