  • Matches but no haplogroup

Hi, I got 2 matches with J-m267 and one with J-M176.However when I click on Haplogroups it says that mine is reviewed.Should I have the same haplogroup as the ones mention above, the genetic distance is O

FTDNA predicts Haplogroup based on your Y-DNA values. If your combination of marker values are rare they may do SNP testing to verify the value assigned.

When looking at the two matches, do either one of them have values listed in the 'Terminal SNP' column?

The fact that there is something in that column tells you the kits have had some level of SNP testing. If FTDNA doesn't feel they can predict your base Haplogroup they should do free SNP testing to determine a Haplogroup .

You can use the 'Customer Support' link at the top of the page to check on this or you can ask your project admin to check for you. If you aren't in a project you can join the J1 Y-DNA Project. There is a 'Join' button at the top right of https://www.familytreedna.com/groups...out/background

If running they are running a backbone test (SNP Assurance program) it will be listed in kits order history.
