When I ran my 37 str markers thru the cullen subclade predictor I got 94 percent S29/U198 so on a recommendation I used YSEQ to test that SNP for only 20 dollars. While I ended up testing negative for U198 they added other results for free. Shows T+ for P316 I assume that means derived or is that something I shouldn't consider. I look up P316 and really don't find anything.

P316 (PF2696) was seen in the haplogroup F, and since you are in R1b, P316 is not relevant to you.

I also got a response back from Astrid at YSEQ when I asked and she said like 90 percent of the male population was P316 and is upstream from most major Haplogroups. I learned something new then.

          Nice to know.

          Thank you for sharing.

Possibly P316 will be removed from the haplogroup F.

I should have looked it up in Big Y results, as it looks as if everybody has it...

It is in Haplogroup F equivalent to M89, so anyone in haplogroup F as well as all downstream haplogroups will be positive for it. Only those in haplogroups A, B, C, D, and E will be negative for it, so as Astrid said the great majority of people will be positive for it.

Since I was negative I did the r1b orientation panel and the results show up as the tests are completed I thought that was interesting its like I can watch it as its going.
