"I" has some pretty small groups...
Bo--- Some I2A clades can be pretty thinly represented... my nearest match using BigY and yFull has a TMCRA of 500AD, give or take (I-P37.2*Alpine, AKA I-Y11049)

this was getting interesting
I am totally new 2016 and was looking forward to learning. That is why I wound up here.

I believe both of those users are in the same sub-group as me (L533+) in the I2a2b L38+ project. Aren't 5 and 6 pretty distant though?

I actually just tested L39+, so I guess I'm I2B2. There's still no I2 in the 12 Marker Haplogroup Origins, but there is now a J2. Here're my markers on YSearch.

Are your markers posted in a project or on Ysearch?

Is it odd that all of my matches are I1 when I tested negative for I1 and that I have no matches for any other haplogroup?
If you look in the I haplogroup projects you may see this on their results pages.

However ,having said that , one could expect some near matches from other subclades at that level of testing.
Incidently I belong to the extremely large group of R1-L21. I have a handful of 1 step matches at 12 markers and nothing at at all at other marker levels.
