    According to ISOGG's haplotree, they are phylogenetically equivalent. That is, they represent the same branch of the tree as far as living humans are concerned.

    I suggest you join the R1a1a and Subclades Project to get a better prediction and suggestions.

    Hi,

    I had my uncle do a Y-DNA test. On his home page, his Y-DNA haplogroup is listed as R-M198, but in his SNP certificate, he is listed as R-M512. Why would the two be different? Is this an error? And how would I get it resolved to a single result?
