How reliable would this be to show me they are related close enough to share a surname?

Extremely likely. Congratulations you have hit the DNA jackpot! Now with that said sometimes adoptees have siblings who also were adopted and don't know their father's surname.

    Understanding advance matches

    My husband is an I1.

On the Y tip report he has a match at 4 generations @69.74% with 64 markers every 4 generations.

Also advance matches shows markers 12-exact, 25- exact, 37-1 step, and 67- 1 step.

How reliable would this be to show me they are related close enough to share a surname?
    Husbands grandfather was adopted.

    Thanks
