Postage Costs

Hi

Since I have ordered a Y DNA test for a cousin, I plan to send him the postage, so that he can return his sample to the lab immediately.

Could someone let me know how much postage is from the UK, please?

Hi

I sent mine Airsure. It is tracked and faster. It is about £ 5.70. They recieved it in 8 days. ( It does actually say on royal mail site 2 to 6 days, but that is working days.

I used Airmail Small Packets, £3.30 I think, no problems but it did take ages.
I also attached a CN22 customs form specifying "Cotton Swabs" as the contents and marking it as "Exempt human specimen" following advice from FTDNA.

I sent mine off airmail tracked with a customs sticker on it, at a cost of over £8 (before Royal Mail increased their prices it was only just over £6) it arrived with in one week but they did not sign for it as I am still being informed that it is waiting. My resulst are due back mid Aug hopfuly get them before that.

It sounds as if Airsure might be best ~ with the CN22 customs form.
