I am I1 P109+ and I just discovered my Paternal ancestor came from the island of Jura in Scotland to America in the 1750's. I know this is Norse, my question is wouldnt it mainly be Scandinavian Viking DNA signature? What other tribes could of giving me this haplogroup coming from the Isle of Jura?

It's based on the historical figure Ragnor Lothbrok and the beginning of the Viking raids in Britain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar_Lothbrok
The character of Rollo (Ragnor's brother in the series) is based on the historical Rollo who lived 200 years after Ragnor and who would later become the Duke of Normandy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollo

The Vikings on history channel is fantastic. Life appeared very rough and brutal back then. I have watched all 5 episodes and and getting hooked. Being my possible ancestors, I just cant believe the violent brutality these warriors possessed and am a little stunned their dna could be in my blood
