I'm furious with how a Y700 test I administer for a cousin is being handled. The batch number is 1031 batched December 1, 2019. I was not advised until almost three months had expired the end of February that it had failed quality control. As expensive as these tests are there is no reason that we could not be kept informed instead of waiting until both samples have been tested They sent out another kit to me which I in turn mail to my cousin and then he mails back to FTDNA. That process alone took almost three weeks because when they told me the sample had failed and a new kit would have to be mailed they didn't mail the kit. I had to call and remind them. Then they received the second kit on March 13th. The testing process started all over again. Every two weeks the due date keeps changing. It's now been eight weeks since the second testing began. I call today and they tell me my cousins sample failed quality control on April 14 but they are still trying and didn't start retesting until May 6.......I suppose that is on his second vile but the clueless customer service rep didn't know what that meant. Now, I have to wait until the middle of June to find out if this sample fails. This is inexcusable.
