On my map there are red markers on the map of other people. I would like to know if I am related to them? Also will the Family Finder test give me a match with relative that is alive?

I'm not sure what you mean. Everybody in red is a K. If you mean, for example, the Google map on the K Project website - selecting your Subgroup - everybody is related to you, but mostly not close enough to find a genealogical connection.

Assuming that everybody who has taken the Family Finder test, a match would be alive. Most people get lots of FF matches, but again, making a genealogical connection may not be easy

Yes I meant the map. At the bottom it says red a close match. I don't think it would help to get Family Finder as I wanted to find a close match. Like within a couple generations.
