  • U5b2a1b1 plus private mutation

    Hello!
I belong to the U5b2a1b1 mtDNA and have these HVR1 mutations:
    • A16129G
    • T16187C
    • T16223C
    • G16230A
    • A16241G
    • T16278C
    • C16311T
    • T16325C
    • C16519T
The mutation A16241G is my private mutation, I don't know any other U5b2a1b1 person with this mutation. Does this private mutation say anything about me, my origin or other things?

Checking "What's going on here" near the bottom of the home page there are currently 50 people signed into the forum. So YES there are people here.

I'm guessing here is no one who has read you message who has an answer to your question. I also noticed there have been 38 views of your message.

That is a pity. Thank you for the answer, Jim.

If you join a project for your haplogroup, projects have forums and you could ask your question there. There might be project administrators or other members who could answer.
It is possible your private mutation could make a new branch.

Where did you get your results? FTDNA does not recognize U5b2a1b1, only U5b2a1b without the last 1
