  • H1ap1 questions

I had the full mitochondrial dna sequence performed here at FamilyTree and received the mtdna haplogroup H1ap1. Does anyone have an input into the age of this subclade? Where it might have it's origin?

Hello Laurie, I found a page that says it's less than 2,800 years old and has been found in Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, and the Ukraine.

Thank you so very much for this. My Mother's maternal line goes back from the U.S. to Norway to the location makes sense.
