    My wife`s mtDNA haplogroup is H5u and i found only a little information in an article about this subclade.

    There are 17 H5u samples in GenBank and 16 of these are in a newly proposed subclade H5u1 defined by T10595C, G11914A, A12855G. 13 of these samples have been found in Denmark and 3 are from Russia from the paper you cited. 11 of the Danish samples and the 3 Russian samples also share another extra mutation, so I would call this group H5u1a. The single H5u* sample is from Italy. It's difficult to be certain with the small sample size, but it seems likely that H5u1 originate in northern Europe perhaps less than 2000 years ago.
