How is FTDNA doing with new mtDNA testing?

I'm seeing a need now to get a FMS test for my mother. Has FTDNA been improving on its recent backlog and is the mtDNA testing coming through currently without problems?

Appreciate any input.

As of last week it looks like average Full Sequence mtDNA testing was at about 6 to 7 weeks.

I went ahead and ordered (7/12/2015). Sample is on file, so I'm curious to see when the test gets batch. Sounds like I'll be lucky if I see the results before mid-September.

How did batch 628 complete so soon? I am in batch 621 and it has been pushed back twice. New dates Jul 22 - August 5th.

The batch 628 that I see posted looked like the same person's test was listed twice, the original mtDNA Plus to mt full Sequence. So, just an upgrade, not a full run of the test.

I used to believe that FMS required a total rerun. But it could be that FTDNA had to do FMS earlier (for example to exclude cross-contamination with a lab person).

Test ordered 6/16/15 as upgrade

My results were due as early as today 7/29/15 - 8/12/15 but was changed today to 8/12/15 - 8/26/15

This is for Full Sequence: HVR1/HVR2 and Region Coding. No reason for delay provided.

Anyone else in Batch 627 with delay?

A delay did come:

"Results for your mtDNA testing have been delayed. We have updated your predicted completion date, and action by you is not usually required. Note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control."

Now 9/2/2015 - 9/16/2015.

I've been getting curious about the results, but hopefully the latest estimate will prove to be correct.
