  • Entering and editing data @ Mitosearch

Since I finally have my HVR2 results and new info about my earliest known maternal ancestor, I went in to edit my page-three times now. I keep getting a fatal error-400, I believe. Has anyone had this problem with Mitosearch, and how did you resolve it, please?

Thank you. BTW, I once had an enormous amount of matches at the HVR1 level on the Ancestry site (which was surprising because my Haplogroup is quite small) and checked it again today: they are all gone. I went ahead and manually entered both my HVR1 and HVR2 results there, but still have no matches. It seems odd and self-defeating if these entities don't recognize the results we entering.

Thank you for any and all.

Maybe it temporary? Maybe it's your browser?
I know when I tried to update my mitosearch thru phone web sometimes it wouldn't go thru.

      Error 400

      http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E400.html

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_status_codes

The 4xx class of status code is intended for cases in which the client seems to have erred. Except when responding to a HEAD request, the server should include an entity containing an explanation of the error situation, and whether it is a temporary or permanent condition. These status codes are applicable to any request method. User agents should display any included entity to the user. These are typically the most common error codes encountered while online.

      400 Bad Request
The request cannot be fulfilled due to bad syntax

Now to google what syntax means...

      edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SYNTAX
I read it and still have no idea what it means.

Adding GEDCOM files to Mitosearch: it's not going to happen anytime soon.

To Mitosearchusernet.com (contact us): "Here is the error message I get when I try to upload:aspSmartUpload.File error '80040460'Unable to save file (Error 1120) /gedcom_upload_start.asp, line 41"

Response from FTDNAhelpdesk: "I apologize for the inconvenience. There is currently and issue with the upload process of GEDCOM files for ySearch.org and mitoSearch.org. This error will be corrected as soon as possible."
