I posted on one of the others..my mtDNA is J2.
HVR2 not back yet..my maternal great great grandmother Margaret Lynch was presumably form Cork.She came into Boston I believe( 1860) and promptly and I MEAN promptly met & married a Philadelphian..the family finds itself in NJ by 1890.

What does J2 really mean?

Also my maternal line also(and I posted this elsewhere so forgive me)includes my mothers Grandfather named Faunt who married a Duggan in Beverly NJ in 1878.Our Faunt surname is a Y-DNA 25 match and we are awaiting 25-37..( we is myself & male cousinBatch 148) I have no male sibs.
My paternal line is Carrow..and Sweeny,Kirwan,Huey but surely will never be able to explore that.Carrow in MD/DE since 1600s.

here is what i have done
i tested me got my ydna and my moms mtdna
i tested my maternal grandmoms neices stevens mtdna we matched
everyone did what they said they did
i tested my son wifes off the hook
i have her mtdna thru jr.
i just tested my grand son he should match my sons mtdna because itwas his sisters boy
i tested my paternal grand moms neice robertie she has my grand mom heslin mtdna


now i run 10 projects
4 surnames all basicly around longford cavan area of ireland then i am doing that area .i know tons of people from there came to chelsea ma. all my dennings 3500 of them. so i am doin chelsea. my wife is from brighton ma but four sq blocks of brighton came staraight from san danato frosine italy
so i am doing frosinone and brighton /newton
i asked thecavan list where people went so i did Parramatta.SydneyAu Project and HannibalMO/QuincyIL Project

so the picture is migration and mtdna is a large part of it.

i wanted to do Ontario maybe next time i'll do that

My Sweeney is from Ireland.He married a Mary Jane Huey from County Tyrone.
Their daughter Lizzie married my Pat Kirwan.Census states he is from Irish Free State.

Irish R1b1c and U5b Results

Hi Jim: I'm a member of the Irish heritage Group, but I'm having a "divil" of a time finding another DeHart surname anywhere among the Irish. I'm R1B1c as far as my SNP test is concerned, and just recieved my mtDNA results making me a member of the U5b group. My paternal lineage goes back to Penn in late 1700's. My GGG grandfather was from Ireland. On mom's side we have always been told we we Scots-Irish, so...the U5b looks authentic Are there many U5b's in your Irish family project?

yeah especialy the longford project and one in hannibal/quincy

see large project might be useful somehow but i prefer small areas you know your women were in where sists aunts and daughters stayed and had kids
