When additional tests are ran at FTDNA, do they automatically get posted to the National Geographic Genographic Project? Both mtDNA and YDNA?

Do all results from FTDNA get posted to the Genographic Project?

No, Genographic only uses the first 12 markers for Y-DNA and HVR1 for mtDNA. Individuals who tested either of both of these at FTDNA can opt-in and pay a small fee (donation) to have their results uploaded to the Genographic project. It's never automatic.

I wanted to join the project.
And I was able to upload my mtDNA....
And I got a login name, wich I forgot saving somewhere (one reason was, I believed to get an email with all the data anyways) and now I dont know what to do.
There is also no "joining" buttons for the Genographic project left for me?
Besides that I was never asked to pay the 15$ somwhow.

Daniel,
I don't think FTDNA can recover your Genographic ID, but you can email them and ask. Also, if you have already uploaded your mtDNA, but now you want to upload your Y-DNA, you can email them and ask them to do that.
See the FAQ:

I just signed up to the Genographic Project yesterday and I also wasn't asked to pay. To-day when I tried to look at the Genographic site I got a scary message from my browser saying the security certificate didn't match up and someone may be trying to access my computer!
I think I will leave it for now.

It will trigger your anti virus software..
It's ok.
I think that it has not been signed by MS. (Microsoft)

A male friend of mine first tested Y DNA with Genographic, then transferred to FamilyTreeDNA, where he also tested mtDNA.
He chose to transfer the mtDNA results back to Genographic and was not asked to pay.
However, when he logged again to Genographic project with his old ID FWXXXXXX, he could see only the mtDNA results, his previous male data was obviously overwritten. How can he get back his Y DNA information?
