watch this info . it still may not be their mummies but incas' after they left . but still they mumified and built very simular to Guanches . but there is a chance it will come back looking like Guanches and the Anasazi clan which was most happy group X I think ( notice how it even loks like Anasazi). maybe it is some from the 'from the rising sun '. I can find lines that I think are like mine in the indian around there.. so there is a small chance U5/U6 and H? J? V? sure could show up. notice the red paint on the walls to.

I did read somewhere, I think it was the Genographic Project website, that 'European' Mtdna H is found at 5% in East Asia, and higher than that in Central Asia and that the East Asian mtdna H is older than European mtdna H.
So who knows, maybe it is an obscure Eastern dna that petered out in the east but flourished in Western Europe.

"If you or your organization has an established relationship with an indigenous or traditional community, facilitating the preparation or submission of a community's application can also be a tremendous step towards preserving or revitalizing their culture."

              • I had put this in another thread.

I've looked at more census records. All census records list my grandmother and her parents, and grandparents, and great grandparents as white, not Indian.

I saw that on tv, I think, maybe a website. I don't remember. It was about the gory history/culture of an Indian tribe, I think it was in South America. The one where they used to sacrifice people. I think it was a tv show. They showed some painting or depiction of what looked like the murder or sacrifice of someone, but it was a blond man. One man was holding his hair and the other had a knife to his chest. I don't know if it was Inca or Aztec or Mayan or another group. I think it was a tv show about the Incas. I saw the image for a moment. Probably on channel 2 or channel 17 (both are PBS stations where I live) in South Florida. I was born & raised in NYC, but I live in South Florida.

rainbow. now that I have told someof my ancestry
one of my ggggrandma's is listed as "white" in five states and she was 1/2 slave/with tuscarora indian , and the other 1/2 pure blooded cherokee. and no she wasn't "white" , not even close. on her slave papers he is listed as a " yellow nigress"( mean like " almost white") but from 10 years after on she is listed in 5 states as "white"
so mostly the term "white" was a complimentary pass to neighbors freinds and family in their social networks. you wanted to keep your farm and land.. you kept you dam mouth shut and so did your neighbors.. they didn't want to get found out either and get shipped to OKLAHOMA. people was killing their people over there. so "white" only means someone was not on a reservation and they weren't full black african, " white" on a census doesn't prove or disprove anything.
one of my other collins side grandma was very very dark and she is listed as white on the censuses and they would not bury her in the church cemetary because she was a "Damn indian". so "white" means less than nothing.

That is one possibility that is on my mind. Maybe the community was/is about half or more Indian just listed as white. The area seemed to me to be very hush, hush and exclusive and hard-to-find, in my opinion. And I have asked her if she was part Indian and she never answered me. She'd change the subject or ignore it. I remember her as being very active, fluttering around like a butterfly, never in one place long enough to have a real conversation. She never even spoke to me about my grandfather when I asked, except to say that his death was a car accident.

Here is a photo of my Grandmother. What do you think?

                        • I guess if she was then she wouldn't say. I can understand if it was to protect herself. What bothers me is that I feel she didn't care about me.

Anyway...I'm logging off now to try to get a few hours sleep (insomnia). Goodnight. Thanks for the discussion, Purple Flowers.

                          • On the matter of white-minority admixture in America, my personal bias is that such admixture did not occur only once, in most cases. In other words, folks with Native and/or African scores on admixture tests most likely did not have a sole Native and/or African ancestor but several.

                            • there is lots of things our grandparents didn't tell us because they were avoiding it , it is always to protect us! remember that.
there is no way to tell by looks we have to prove who was here.
yes your grandma loks like she could fit in my grandma family.. but that mean nothing... people say my grandma looks white.. course she is part blood.
my line fits every stereotype and we still came back european or african..

so lets find who was here. we got our work cut out for us.

because we got some STUPID "Scientist"( NOT !) really they are magic witch doctors who are doing DNA ON dirt to prove their damn Bering straits..
what like they can't find a hypothetical 14500 year old lump of DNA from a bag ancient dirt that is hypothetical 10000000000 gazillions years old?..
they can't be that stupid or either way sure as hell think we " common" people are gullible.
I was so mad.. they got some kinds of witch doctor stuff going on..
magic DNA from dirt that just happens to always prove their theories... now that is some hoodoovoodoo.. and their magic potions, a slab of dirt and pinch of pertified poop

                              • seems to be a common problem

My mother acted very protectively of, or tried to isolate me from, her Austrian side. So about the only way I can find out anything is via Ancestry.com or etc. But there was name-changing to confuse. Maybe it was because they were catholics. My Norwegian/German derived grandmother on the other side told us kids not to play with Catholics!
