American Indian admixture in White Americans

My mom has 0 Native American (confidence interval is 0-12) on her ABD test.

The most likely scenario is that my 17% comes to me from my New Jersey paternal grandmother. She had told me that her side is Dutch, Scottish, German, French, and English. There must be a lot of unknown Native American admixture from way back in the general population of that area.

It would most likely be a lot of Delaware Indian admixture (or something similar. Raritan Indian?) in a lot of my NJ ancestors, from before the Indian Removal Act.

you see my husbands indian background traces too Perqui
also called "Perquimans tribe on the east coast of the USA .I wonder if they are related.
his name perkins somehow conected to that . it was a female tribe. lead by women... big beautiful women. is the legends..
some of my cousins are 6'3 and narrow headed.. I figured that had alot to do with their dads.. who knowns .... and we do have a couple of red heads in the family....
the cherokee have tales of adopting some huge giants /"giants"
but most of the tall ones have a face shape kind of like this lady or maybe just a little Cher sort of .. or like
this but very tall 5'10"+++

I wonder if the Perquimens are related to the mexico tribe hummmmmm
PERQUIMANS CO NC is named after that tribe.

it says they are short . but any tribe can get short fast because they are someplace unfamiliar with the food stuff and they are unable to eat to their needs, so size has nothing to do with anything.. except a large tribe is more likely to have been in the area longer than a short tribe.
unless it is just a aweful land with many nutrient blockers in their plant life and in the soil . so everyone in that whole area will be tiny and get way bigger if they leave that area in a few generations.
so size is really relative to the areas.

The land bridge theory is "bad Science". During the last ice age there was no land-bridge. The Bering Straits were kept open by the several thousand feet deep waters, ocean currents and extreme winds..

It appears that it was not just the Ice Age that allowed Beringia to rise above the seas, although that would've been the only cause during human times. When the ocean basins sink, then the seas recede. I saw something recently that that process is going on right now, and that in 80,000,000 years, all the continental shelves will be above water.

Something like that happened with the great floods immediately after the last LGM. The seas rose to a higher point than today, but receded somewhat when the ocean basins sank.

I think the ones that got here used a coastal route. And had small boats. The Maori say they travelled by whale. Who knows what animal(s) the first Amerinds travelled with. I guess mammoths were extinct by then, if not, then maybe with mammoths. If Hannibal crossed the Alps with elephants, I'm sure it's possible that earlier peoples used mammoths elsewhere. Maybe it was a combination of land travel and coastal, over a period of time. Maybe certain animals knew the way over to the Americas and the first Amerinds followed the animals. They would have to because it was their food. Just like some people will go south when the birds fly south for the winter. Isn't America referred to as Turtle Island (or something similar)? Maybe one of the animals they followed here were turtles (giant turtles?). I know that sounds bizarre, but it could have happened.

I still dont believe in the Bering Strait Theory if anything Native Americans where already here and traveled over and populated asia thats the thing about Theories anybody can express there own opinions.

This is a follow-up on my earlier post.
I Have been pouring over geology records to come to my conclusions.
The ice age began about two million years ago. The hardest hit was the North American Continent. Glaciation covered almost half of North America.
Asia and Siberia were not hit nearly as hard. There was hardly any ice on the Siberian side of the Bering Straits. This was the Pleistocene episode.
The Bering Straits are just over 50 miles wide and quite deep.
The peoples of Asia/Siberia would of only noticed a temperature drop and could avoid the slow moving ice sheets.
This is when the animals could of moved south and the people would follow their food source. No one in their right mind would of tried to cross the Bering Straits and end up on a huge glacier while their food was headed south.
This evidence is why I stated the Land Bridge Idea is a lot of hooey.
People have been found in North America 1.5 million years ago per recent findings. I still maintain that they went south and took boats to the Americas.

Without digging up references, I seem to recall that human-like ancestors only emerged about 2 million years ago ("lucy", et al). I think those story tellers were exagerating somewhat.
