  • NAtive?

I had my autosomal dna tested and it came back that I have like 10% East Asian. I have been told by my mother's side that I have Native American. I also read online that sometimes with this test, it can get confused between East Asain and Native American. On top of that, the secondary possibility on the test showed Native American but said it was 2 times less likely. Can anyone help me out here? Could it be that I do have Native AMerican dna and the test was confused?

    Thanks,

Science studies say Polynesians came from Taiwan,so maybe many natives people came from the same lineage as East Asian people.Native American people came from near Siberia near,Japan it's all East Asia-sort of.

Well, sometimes the testing does get Native American and East Asian
confused because of the DNA similarities and the fact that Native Americans
came over from Asia - However from my experience it is usually just
a little bit of the Native American DNA that gets misinterpreted as
being East Asian - For instance the test may come back 11 percent
Native American and 3 percent East Asian or something like that.

I recommend either looking for a paper trail in your family tree of
either Native American or Asian or testing with another company to
see if there results are the same or if they interpret the DNA
      differently.
