  • Genographic Project time frame

    Hello, all--

I'm pretty new to this entire area of study (I had a grad school minor in genetics over 40 years ago, and oh, what differences there are now!) I just have a question about the meaning of the check marks on the NGS Genographic Project kit tracking page. If "DNA isolation" is checked but "DNA analysis" is not, does that mean DNA isolation is in progress, or that it is finished and the sample is in analysis?

    Thanks,
    Terry

    Welcome!

As your tests are completed the check mark appears in the box and the frames are high lighted. It took almost 9 weeks for mine to show back up after the first check mark, then boom , it was totally complete. (almost 12 weeks from start until finished results)
