  • Combining my MtDNA results with my father's Y-DNA results?

I have Geno 2.0 test results, and so does my father.

Is there a way that I can access his results via Family Tree DNA's Family Finder, if both of our Geno 2.0 results are transferred to here?

Each individual customer at FTDNA has their own kit number and account. Even if two people are closely related, they can't have the same account/kit number. If they allowed that, there would be confusion about which DNA sample in a kit belongs to which person.

If you want to access your father's FTDNA account, you'll have to ask him for the kit number and password. Then you can log into his account to look at his results and matches or to order additional tests. If he hasn't transferred his Geno 2.0 results to FTDNA yet, you can do the upload and provide your e-mail address for contact, if your father doesn't mind. Then FTDNA will send you the kit number and password.

Otowner, you mention "accessing his results via Family Tree DNA's Family Finder." In order to do that (if you do transfer your Geno 2.0 results to FTDNA), in addition to what MMaddi told you: first you will need to pay for a Family Finder test for yourself and/or your father. The Geno 2.0 autosomal results do not transfer (they are incompatible with Family Finder). Only the Y and mtDNA haplogroups will transfer.

Ok, I didn't realize that. Thank you both!
