Has there been any news on when FTDNA is going to start accepting transfers of the Geno 2 Next Generation results? As of today, when you attempt to transfer the Geno 2 NG results, you get the message "the results for this kit have already been transferred". About a month ago I contacted FTDNA and they said "there were technical problems with the transfer program" and that they were working on it.

Latest from Geographic
Here's this week's update I received from gene-by-gene:
Thank you for contacting the Genographic Project. Our transfer and raw data download features are currently unavailable, while we work with Family Tree DNA to make the necessary changes to accommodate the Next Generation results. I do not have a current ETA on when this should be available once more, however this should be available in the next 1-2 weeks.

FTDNA should remove the "testing" Partner log from the website
At our genealogy society meetings DNA is a hot topic. The primary question is which one is the best.
We used to say if you test with National Geographic it could be transferred to FTDNA and the rest of the family could use FTDNA to filling the missing chunks of DNA.
And FTDNA has a cute logo still proclaiming that possibility. It is not much of a joke.
We have our last meeting in May before the Summer break and this will be a hot item in the discussion.

Changes
Here's the current scoop.
If you're American, Genographic will send you the white box with the spit kit that goes to the Helix lab. This lab uses newer tech that is not compatible with FTDNA. You also can't download the genome in NatGeo.
If you're not American, you get the old kit (for now) in a black box with a cheek swab kit. That kit is sent to FTDNA in Texas and can be uploaded to them afterwards.
The reports available for free then are very basic except the Y-DNA line. This is much more detailed than 23andMe.
They also then offer you a discount on Family Finder autosomnal and a more targeted Y-DNA test for still further detail.
Both 23andMe and FTDNA have added deeper ancestry reports which is the only report on Genographic that has much value.
I understand the Helix test does give more reports but I don't know as I'm Canadian and did the FT kit this spring.
The advantage of coming to FTDNA through Genographic is much reduced now.

Genographic transfer... Y DNA?
Got my Geno 2.0 results in way earlier than expected and transferred to FTDNA. However, it all seems to be there except the Y DNA is in a review stage or something? I can click on the SNP list but the Y map doesn't show anything... Y DNA also appears to be excluded from raw data downloads. Does this just take a lot longer to kick in or activate?
Thank you

Hello,
French of nationality, I carried out my DNA research via Genographic. As stated on the National Geographic site, I transferred my results from the National Geographic Genographic project to Family Tree DNA for an additional insight into my ancestral origins.
The transfer apparently did well. How does it happen next? Is there a waiting time? Will FTDNA contact me?
Thank you for your answers.
cordially
