Geno 2.0 and FTDNA giving very different results

My father took the Geno 2.0 test and had it imported to FTDNA. Geno 2.0 says my father is R-DF21 while FTDNA shows him as R-L148. R-DF21 is a subclade of R-L21 (under R-DF13). You can see a nice tree here:

Since he cannot be in both haplogroups at the same time, which one is the correct one? Kit number N117567.

Biological or not makes no difference to me, I have an older brother who is adopted and he is no less my brother and no less my father's son, but it does matter for medical history and genealogy purposes.

I found kit N117567 in the R1b-L48+ Project. The list of SNP results (transferred from Geno 2.0) is all goofed up. Morley's analyzer puts him in haplogroup J2, but with a long list of "extra" SNPs from all different haplogroups.

I suggest that you:
1) Download the raw data file from Geno 2.0, and have an R1b expert analyze it to verify that it is a valid DF21+ .
2) Then inform FTDNA that the transfer (from Geno 2.0 into his account) was botched.

It may take 2-3 days for the team to reach your email in the queue. Once they do reach your email, they'll respond to you and work to resolve the issue.

When I had it imported it matched the results on the Genographic Project's website. As it turns out, National Geographic just recently sent out an email saying they botched up a ton of results. They made the changes to the results but did not say what those changes were. I had FTDNA remove all the imported data and I had it reimported and now my father and I are in the same haplotype group.

As one can easily surmise, this caused a lot of drama in my family during the months they had been confident there was no mistake. It also caused me to buy a lot of additional testing that was actually not needed (the results of which I do not have yet). As I said, I was not really all the bothered but the rest of the family was in an uproar over it. My mother passed away 2 years ago so any info from here was not able to be found, but it is well known she was not very faithful - which added credence to initial results.

Anyone who has had any Geno 2.0 testing done should check their results closely. Hopefully they found all their mistakes and contacted everyone.
