Two Questions About the Genographic Site

Ours went DNA Isolated in about a month.
In other words, they are almost done.......... YEA

The NatGeo Genographic website has "bugs" that need to be worked out.
This could delay the getting the results until early December I am told

My husband and I are both waiting for results. They are keeping us informed with emails which is great. I did not send it in that long ago...they rec it on 10/27 and I am 80% already. Maybe this part will take a while but they are moving smoothly along. This part could hit a snag or fail, if so, they have to start the process all over again. ! Hope I keep sailing along!

I don't know anything, but this is what I think.

1. it may be because they haven't completed your test. No results to participate in the project yet.

2. I don't think they are notifying anyone. you have to log in and check yourself.

There are numerous posts on other forums from people saying that they are receiving progress updates from NG via email. Perhaps it is an option that you have to switch on.

1. I've done the whole "Yes, I would like to participate in this important global study" thing three or four times, but it keeps reverting back to "You are currently not participating." Any idea why?

2. I haven't been getting any email updates about the progress of my sample. I just have to check the site regularly instead. Is this related to the above issue, is it because I'm dumb and just can't manage to find the sign-up-for-email-updates button, or is it a combination of the two?
