  • Father's Day Article on My DNA Success

When the editor of the Grand Rapids Press, my home newspaper, saw the article about me in the Wall Street Journal, he decided to tell my DNA story on Father's Day. He assigned a reporter to interview me and a photographer to get a photo. The story ran Sunday morning on the front page.

The article also appears online on this page:
For 26 years, through a series of false leads and fabricated records, Richard Hill repeatedly was frustrated in searching for his birth father.

This is more good publicity for DNA testing, Family Tree DNA, and my web site, which promotes DNA testing.

Yours is truly a thrilling story which gives us all hope.
You surely facilitated the happy ending by thinking very creatively.May we all do the same. It is a tribute to your birth parents AND your adoptive parents.

Thanks to all for the great feedback. I had a chance to speak publicly and tell my DNA success story to a genealogy group. They seemed to enjoy hearing the details of my story and I was able to educate them about genetic genealogy and other types of DNA testing.

I look forward to other speaking opportunities.
