    Blood has two markers. One of them is dominant. Blood with the markers A and 0 is of type A. Similar, markers AA give bloodtype A.
    If you are AB your markers are A and B. Your son has one marker from each of you. Since you have AB, your son must be AA.

    If your husband has the markers A0, your son could have had bloodtype B by having 0 from your husband and B from you, giving the markers B0.

      This doesn't sound like a success story so it really shouldn't be in this topic.

      How many people's DNA are you having tested? If you test only your son's you won't learn anything about who the father is. If you test you son and your husband and their results don't match you'll know your husband wasn't the father. If you test your husband, your son and the guy you messed with and they all match you still won't know anything. If none of then match you'll no neither of these men were the father. If one man matches your son and the other one doesn't you can assume the one that matches is the father.

      Of course all of this assumes you are testing Y-DNA with FTDNA.

          Use this;

          http://www.biology.arizona.edu/Human...inherited.html

          Need to know your blood type as well; can't say for sure if someone is, but definitely has the potential to rule someone out.

            Maybe a "success" story in the making?

                  Order a 12 number Y-dna test for your son, and one for your husband.

                  See how they match up at 12 numbers first.

                  Be carefull not to mix them up.

                    If you are O- and your son is A+, then the father can be A+ or AB+, according to the site Nagelfar suggested. Sounds like your husband's the father.

                      If you know everyone's blood type, you MAY be able to eliminate one of the men without spending a dime on DNA testing. See the blood type table on this page:
                      http://www.dna-testing-adviser.com/P...tyTestDNA.html

                      Otherwise, read the rest of the page for information on DNA paternity testing.
