I recently noted a success story here based on a Y-DNA match. The surname was the same as a g-grandmother, who was as far back as I had been able to trace my maternal mtDNA line. I contacted them and they had my g-grandmother in their family files. As a result I have pushed my mtDNA line back two more generations and my g-grandmother's surname line back to a Hugenaut/Puritan that arrived in the Mass. Bay Colony in 1635. Success is were you find it.
