  • Success with a twist

After less than 8 months of waiting, I've found a 24/25 match with another Pearson who traces his ancestry back to the same person. The twist comes in when I look at other members of my haplogroup and I find a second person who matches the other Pearson with a 25/25 match but his surname is Howell.

I'm hoping that more markers will resolve this.

I'm thinking Howell will fade and your Pearson match may stay strong and be 36/37.

Matches at 25 markers with folks who do not have your surname or a variant of it probably don't mean that much, especially with R1b.

I had a couple of 24/25 matches with persons who do not share my surname. They fizzled at 37 markers.
