Unfortunately in Russia few people know about FtDNA and genetic genealogy. Moreover... the few are interested in the family tree and a history of family. Very bad.. because Russia have not commercial lab such as FtDNA. It is a problem because few can order the DNA kit.
Scientific labs which specialize on a molecular biology and genetics locate in Moscow, but they not carry out commercial tests(test can cost much money, for example y-dna12 $500 and more).

About my family... I know my most old ancestor Petr born about 1640 in Kashirskiy uezd (it's 150 km from Moscow)

Thanks, rsychev. My Russian is really not that good. I only risk writing in it when my wife can proofread and correct my mistakes!

Russian geneticists is famous all over the globe as the fine professionals but unfortunately commercial y-dna tests and mtdna is not popular. If some laboratories make it then at a high price (relative to the FtDNA).
