    FTDNA adoptee group.

There is an adoptee group that one can join within FTDNA. It is administered by Max Blankfeld. There are several of us who are in there.

Yahoo group for adoptees using DNA

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AdoptionDNA/

We have DNA experts, search angels, experienced DNA users and lots of newbies. We welcome anyone who is searching for genealogical lines with nothing to go on but their own DNA.

The primary method we use is triangulation - finding groups of matches and identifying their common ancestors. Then we look for where descendants of those ancestors connect.

I need to clarify. I'm looking specifically for ways adoptees use genetic genealogy in locating their birth parents.

    Adoptees

Could someone please point me to good message boards/resources for adoptees? I'm not an adoptee, but I am searching for my grandfather with nothing but a name. I'd like to hear about methods used by adoptees.

    Thanks, Lana
