    @mixedkid: Unfortunately, the methodology behind the chromosome paintings was already outdated as early as probably when the first edition went to print.

    Have you looked at GEDmatch?

      Yes, I have two kits' results on GEDmatch and very much enjoy that site. A couple of the computer models picked up my partial Finnish ancestry pretty quickly (something PopulationFinder has not done). I like the interaction with my FF cousins but as far as what my mixed ancestry really is, the tools on GEDmatch give me a much fuller and detailed picture.
