My son and daughter's maternal grandfather (now deceased) was adopted. He probably had Anglo-Saxon or Celtic origins. Obviously mtdna results are not informative. Is there any way to make an educated guess, i.e. by looking at autosomes or recombinant dna in general. If possible, are there any tests availible.
