East Asian or Native American

I have a very small amount of East Asian (Siberian in some tests), less than 1%. How can I determine if this is noise or if it's actually Mongolian or something like that or else North American Native. It shows up in several tests I have done such as with Dyodecad and Eurogenes etc.
Paternal is Ukrainian so there could be Asian there, and maternal side has family stories of Native American in our ancestry.

I also have Colonial American ancestry AND fairly recent Slavic ancestry. Mine is Czechoslovakian.

If and when I ever decide to have a FF test done, it will probably be confusing too. I am 25% Austrian (maternal grandfather); Danube swath of the country, which is a blended mixture of various strains.

But if we assume that number would be fractioned in half with me at 3.5%- then my daughters would wind up <2%, I would not consider that to be noise. It would be a legitimate part of their ancestry (although I cannot substantiate it with paper work.)

Admittedly I do not fully understand how autosomal percentages break down over generations, and they can probably vary widely in instances of mixed ethnicity. Recognizing that phenotypes are non demonstrative indicators of y and Mtdna, they quite possibly could play a role in autosomal. I have seen instances of very dark african american men who had children with scandinavian women, and their child was alabaster white. Would her autosomal dna reflect very low percentages of African although she is technically half?

I think for now no one can say you have or you don't have Indian DNA. Is it possible for East Asia to show up in someone from the country of Georgia? My guess is, that it is, but does it mean a person from Georgia has a Native American connection. I think the chance are low.

The East Asia=Native American is an industry rumour. When my mother took the test a few years ago this is what we were told (because she is half African American). Then on the PBS program last week, Dr. Gates said the same thing, so that rumour still persists. It makes me wonder if they are going on assumptions here...

If you are half Ukrainian, those Asian levels are probably quite usual. Your best bet is not to make assumptions based on imaginary components but to compare your results to people with similar ancestries, and conversely to see where in the world people with similar results to yours are from.

I came up part siberian (yakut) on my population finder results. I'm sure it correlates to my amerindian ancestry.
