Help for choosing a test

Hello, i would like to check DNA for jewish roots, only information I have is first and last names of my grand parents and grand grand parents from my mom's side, and that they all came from Sicily, Italy as well.

what kind of test is most recommended for me to take?
how does it work when i'm not from the states?

My suggestion is to take the FamilyFinder test.

I am not a great believer in simply taking the Y DNA test or the mitochondrial test in order to establish recent Jewish or partial-Jewish ancestry.
