  • Warrantys or Guarantees?

Ok Im now on the Summary page. I am planning to go with

    Y-DNA37+mtDNAPlus

Before I press the finish button and dole out 303.00 for the packets and shipping. Are there any Warranty's or Guarantees. I hope you do not say its a DNA crap shoot and too bad if you are unhappy with the results. Your reputation is the best of the best when comparing DNA test companies I have researched on the web, peoples opinions from hours of googling convinced me that you are the real deal and ethical. Im hoping the best of the best has some sort of customer satisfaction policy.

I am gonna keep the summary page open, since I never shut my computer down and wait and hope someone can answer this question before I press the finish button.

    Thank You

Guarantee what? If you mean, will they send you some random numbers instead of a true result, I think you're very safe ... FTDNA is a big company with a stellar reputation, and a LOT to lose if false information was handed out. (Some people do cross check by sending off to other testing companies). If you mean, will the result be 100% accurate, I'd say yes, given the number of automatic re-tests I have read about because the 'Lab Techs' were not happy with first test results (before they released them) - which is why they take two samples. (As a side note, remember that this is relatively new technology, and 'discovery' and variations to present results and global findings may occur as months and years roll by ...)

But if you mean, will it guarantee your ancestors are exactly what your oral or written family history has projected, 'hang on to your seat' - because you may be in for an interesting (exciting) time. [Mothers have babies and fathers have 'maybes', as the saying goes]

As for time taken to produce your test result - no guarantee there. Some results come in early, some come in late.

Press the button !! Come on in - the water's fine.

First I think your question is a good one , assuming you mean legitimate results . When I chose my first testing company I made a mistake and ended up with bogus results . After this experience I became skeptical and double checked my results from FTDNA . They proved to be highly accurate.

FTDNA guarantees that their test results are correct, not that the customer will be "satisfied" with those results. The truth is occasionally disturbing.

It's usually mailed out the next business day and should arrive within a week -- assuming you are in the U.S. International mail takes longer.
