I'm just curious when FTDNA usually notifies someone they've received their kit. I sent two back, last Tuesday. Someone told me they do them all on Wednesday, so I am expecting something today. As an impatient person (I'm doing my best, lol) the fact that's it's almost noon and I haven't heard anything is starting to slowly kill me. I am just hoping someone can give me an estimated timeframe so then I won't keep checking every 2 minutes. Like, is it usually in the afternoon? Or do they batch them on Wednesday & send out the notifications on Thursday?

Elise5pm Houston time...roughly 6ish ET....
It doesn't help that I've had nightmares twice this week that my results got lost in the mail & when I got new kits, my dad & grandfather (maternal) refused to do them a second time, lol.

I sent mine back a week ago Tuesday, and Wednesday came and went and I got no confirmation they received it.
I am worried because my test was old. So old that 12 markers was the norm. The envelope had the pre addressed sticker on it, but now I am worried it was an old address?!
Should I do something?

I don't know about your situation, but I'd contact FTDNA if I were you.
As to my situation, I did receive notice that my one kit made it to FTDNA (sent Tuesday July 5th, notified Weds July 13th) however my other kit, sent at the same time from the same post office has still not made it to them in Texas. After talking to others, it seems I am not alone in my kit taking a long time to reach its destination. I'm still holding out some hope it shows up, but part of me would just like FTDNA to send out my replacement kit now so I can send it back ASAP.

When I sent mine in. I called about once a week. 6 weeks went by and they said they had not even received it. Talked to the project co - ordinator and discovered that I had actually sent it to the wrong place. I think there is a lab in Arizona , but also a college in texas. Or vice versa. Either way, I mailed it and put down the address I seen on the paperwork. They had to send me another kit and Had to do it again. I was almost ready to mail the second kit to the correct address when I get a phone call and they tell me now they have recieved my first kit. 2 months after I mailed it in. I guess someone from the college decided to finally mail it over to where it was supposed to be. I don't know.

Linds' comment about postage is an important consideration too.
Bottom line - call FTDNA, tell them what happened, and they can surely tell you what normally happens in cases like this. I'm sure you're not the first to send in a very old kit
