Your Genetic Genealogist has a good blog post of announcements from the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree, by both 23andMe and FTDNA's Bennett Greenspan. 23andMe has about 80,000 customers now, of which about 70% have northern European ancestry. What's more interesting to me was this comment by Bennett Greenspan:
