  • List of SNPs tested by FTDNA?

I can't find one apart from the link via my haplogroup which is not what I want.

    Please advise.

If you are asking about those beyond which are offered in the Universal Deep Clade test, go to Advanced Orders & pick SNP. You will get a list of hundreds that are available across all y-DNA haplogroups.

When I click "order advanced SNP tests" I'm shoved into "My Haplogroup" with only the potential tests recommended for that group. But I wanted a full list of all potential Advanced SNP tests.

I agree that it used to be the case that a full list was available because in the past I have used it but now I'm automatically connected to "My Haplogroup" and only the SNP tests shown there.

I am looking into SNP 448 in particular and any possible associated SNPs. That one is not shown in "My Haplogroup". I have tried to get the information from FTDNA but they have not responded to my messages.

Am I unique in this situation?

It possible I misunderstand what you're trying to do, but have you tried this?

        1: Log in to FTDNA.
2: Click "Order tests and upgrades".
        3: Click "Order advanced tests".
4: Choose "SNP" in the "Test type" drop down menu.
5: Type 448 in the "Marker" field and press find.

The webpage should now offer you markers L448 and M448 to order.

          @k.o.gran

At stage 3 in your advice list I am kicked into "My Haplogroup" automatically as told previously.

          "It's a damn nuisance, Holmes"

Strange... I have completed a Deep Clade test and my haplotree page says "No upgrade currently available". Could there be a flaw in the system that requires you to do the deep clade before picking SNPs manually?

I just tested now with a kit that doesn't have deep clade. I had no problem getting to the SNP list. Are you sure you clicked "Order advanced tests" and not "Order advanced SNP tests"?

Oh! I thought SNPs was what I was looking for.

"So the case is solved Holmes?"

"Indeed it is Watson, but k.o gran must get the credit this time for I played no part in it"

Sometimes you just have to think like FTDNA to find what you're looking for...
