    At least one gene related to the pituitary condition known as 'giantism' seems unusually common in the north of Ireland . . .

    P.S. I just posted this one out of curiosity. Why they insisted on mentioning Charles Byrne, I don't know. He was of Leinster stock, so totally undercutting the whole 'north of Ireland' thingy. Whatever.

    Well, mea culpa. Charlie was from Co. Derry.
