  • Markers 38-67 finished before 13-37 ?

I know that this is a stupid question for anyone who knows anything about DNA, but since I have nothing better to do, while waiting for my first ever results, I'll ask anyway.

Why is it that Markers 38-67 are finished before 13-37?

The lab runs the markers in panels. As they develop the results for a panel it is reported. If they have questionable results on a panel it is possible for the results from an additional panel to be reported.

    This is not unusual.

      Interesting.

It was indeed interesting to see that the results are not processed in complete 1-67 order.

Thanks for the kind response to a Newbie/DNA-Ignorant member.

You should also note that you won't get any matches until the entire round of testing is done. So while it's good to know you've got partial results, you won't learn anything from it til they're all done.
