it's an amerindian haplogroup. that's about all i know about. sorry i haven't seen your dnatribes pdfs yet.

It took exactly 4 weeks not too bad! It looks like I'm A2.. I only found 1 match on mitosearch. I'm curious if I did hvr2 or fgs would I get more info..more matches...hmmm

I knew on my dad's side for sure but my mom's side has been a mystery. There's a disconnect in info with my maternal side. My mother never knew her father and she never spoke of him, my grandma same thing! She never knew her father nor spoke much of her mother. My grandma passed away in 2008 so with her went any information we might have had. I assumed Amerind of some sort just based on my mother's birth place and grandma's, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. It's a pretty Mayan-thick area. I just wish I could break down a bit more what's in my history. It was proving impossible when my dad went to Guatemala for me to do some searching. The birth certificates gave us nothing. So that's what brought me here!
