Test Kit Query

Hello All,
Someone purchased a test kit for Y-DNA back in 2006. For unknown reasons they didn't use it at the time, but have suddenly decided too. Will it be useable after a 4 year gap? Will the solutions still be stable. The kit hasn't ever been opened, so I'm guessing it may be OK.

FTDNA told me they would still be good for over a year, but I don't remember the exact length of time. I'd contact FTDNA. They'll send a replacement kit for a small fee.

We can send out a new DNA collection sample with the same kit number if it has been more than 18 months to 2 years. There is no cost to have the kit resent.
