Sephardic MtDna

Hi- Does anyone have a good source for mitochondrial DNA and the Sephardic population? Specifically, a breakdown among Sephardics by % incidence of each halotype would be useful. I did a quick web search, but did not turn up anything useful. Would the breakdown be the same as for Europeans? as Askenazi's? Thanks. (waiting on Batch 99 by the way).

I've read a paper that addresses just what you're asking, unfortunately I cannot recall the reference to it. If you will post your query to:

you will get an answer. There are several regular posters there with extensive knowledge about mtDNA in general, and Ashkenazi, Levite and Shepardic populations in Europe.

Thanks much. I had tried subscribing to the dna list on rootsweb before, and somehow couldn't find it. Seems to be there now though- just checked. I'll search the archives for the article you mentioned and if it doesn't turn up i'll post the question there. Thanks again.
