Mutation Dating
I was referring to Y-DNA dating. The person concerned has recently (after I posted my message in this forum) told me that his method is based on a method introduced by Ken Nordvedt.

If you have two sets of Y-DNA which differ on only one marker, you can get an estimate of how long ago the sets were identical at: http://dna-project.clan-donald-usa.org/tmrca.htm

So I asked him what his dates were and how he arrived at them, but he did not reply.
That was very frustrating.
Question: How does one date mutations? Where can I read up on this issue?
