Hi, I have primarily Ulster Irish matches from 25 to 67 markers and those are mainly surnames associated with the Maguire Clan.
I noticed that on the Ancestral Origins reports that I was seeing important matches that weren't showing up on my FTDNA personal page. I emailed FTDNA and the best that I could get from them that the mystery matches were of the same names as matches that are on my personal page. I have joined FTDNA groups Irish Heritage and Ulster Heritage. On Irish Heritage I picked up some matches I didn't know about. That happens mostly with surname groups who don't want anyone else to know about their little club and also because some people invoke privacy because they want the DNA information they need from everyone else, but are unwilling to share with others. You can join both the Irish or Ireland Heritage Group and the Ulster Heritage Group, www.ulsterheritage.com from your personal page. It is worth a shot. If you have other Irish surname matches that form a pattern, you may also be able to join those groups and solve the problem.

I not sure about contacts, but it is entirely possible that they have not clicked on all of the possibilities in the "User Preferences" section.

Another possibility is that you have not selected the correct one.

Another possibility is that you've selected something like only show surname matches, or only show people in my surname project.

no, his preferences page is set to receive all matches, and has from the beginning, so no such "luck". but the other suggestions are entirely possible.

there's a 7 distance match on 67 markers on my husband's test at recent ancestral origins for an Irish listing. but they do not show up in the matches listing on my husband's personal page at FTdna,, they do not show up in ysearch, and if they are Moore's, I haven't found them in the test results page. there's no way to contact them, that I can find.
any thoughts?
