    mutations happen but what happens in a enclosed small area where about 7 familes live and intermarry for a long period of time lets say 500 years
    lets say the families are
    farrell-denning- lynch- farley-creamer-carroll-sherlock
    as they intermarry will the mutations happen in a way that the dna works tords some middle road tords each others dna

    Assuming you are talking about Y-DNA and mtDNA the answer is no.

    They are passed from father to son or mother to all offspring irrespective of whether the spouse is related or not, the mutation has already occured before the egg and sperm unite.
