  • confusion on values

Ok, I just went to gene tree and and put in my ftdna values, I am H1
Gene tree just changed me to K.
I deleted my values because I am not a K, unless something is missing here besides the value that is the deciding value for the K group.Any one else here have any ideas? I am confused.

    Hi Mari,

How about posting your mutation list. I can usually ID a K. When did you test with FTDNA?

        Hi Mari,

You lack the 16224C mutation which most in K have. FTDNA does extra SNP testing now to determine haplogroups. Also, with H1, you have probably taken the H-Refine test.

GeneTree probably thought you were a K because you have five of the six basic K mutations. However, nobody in the K Project at least has just those six.

I would agree that you are an H1.
