Thank you for your messages. I will notify the IT department and see if we can find out what may be going on. It could be a problem with cache settings on an individual's computer.

Forum glitch
Darren,
There seems to be a glitch in the forum somewhere. The Computer administartor of these boards is telling a few of us we can't post more than one message with in in 30 seconds. This happens when I have not posted at all and just go to post a message. This happened to me twice in the past 2 days. Others have told me the same thing happened to them.
Thanks

What about those of us who type the entire message into THIS window? I did that with my posts and even suspected it had something to do with punctuation but alas, try as I may, nothing seemed to work.

Posts getting cut off.
Hello Everyone,
Darren here with Family Tree DNA. I have seen several posts that have been cut off prematurely and this is likely caused by punctuation that the system is failing to accept properly, so it deletes everything after it. I have seen this happen with:
'
"
and
...
If you are creating a document in word I am not sure if saving it as a plain text or rich text format might work, but if you paste text from word into the thread text window, be aware that you may need to delete these characters and then re-enter them. For example if you have a word document that says I'm R1b1b2, you will likely need to delete the apostrophe and type it again once the text has been pasted into the edit message window for the forum. I am not aware of this issue happening when you type the text directly into the thread text window as opposed to copying and pasting.Tags: None
